Scheduled day sail
A full day across to Lembongan or Penida, snorkel stops, and the main crossing under canvas whenever the breeze holds. Shared boat, small group.
Sunset sail
Out on the afternoon sea breeze, back at dusk under a mix of sail and motor as the wind eases. Shorter, golden, easy on the stomach.
Private charter

Benoa vs Serangan — where to meet
Benoa Harbour. The main departure for both day sails and the Lembongan + Penida combo. Easy reach from Nusa Dua, Jimbaran and Kuta.
Serangan Harbour. A quieter launch a little closer to Sanur — same water, a shorter transfer if you're staying east.

Straight answers before you sail
Will I get seasick?
The Badung Strait can have swell, especially on the Penida crossing. A catamaran is steadier than a single hull, and the shorter sunset sail is the gentlest option. If you're prone to motion sickness, take a tablet an hour before boarding and tell your skipper — they'll position you and pick the calmer line.
What happens on a no-wind day?
We still run — we motor the legs where the wind has dropped so you arrive and return on time. We won't pretend it was all under sail. When the breeze fills in, the engine goes off and the sails do the work. That honesty is the whole point of Selat Sails.
Can we bring kids?
Yes — families are welcome, and the calmer Lembongan and sunset sails suit younger children best. Everyone wears a life jacket, and little ones are supervised by an adult at all times. Message us your kids' ages on WhatsApp and we'll tell you honestly whether the day's conditions suit them.
What should I bring?
Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses with a strap, a light layer for the wind, and a towel. We provide snorkel gear, drinking water and shade on deck. Leave anything you'd hate to drop overboard behind — spray happens on a good sailing day.
Who makes the weather call, and what if it's cancelled?
Your licensed skipper does, based on the morning's wind and sea state — safety comes before the schedule. If we call off a trip for weather, we'll reschedule you or arrange a refund of your booking. We confirm the outlook with you on WhatsApp before you travel to the harbour.
